Use a pair of side cutters IE: large wire cutters and cut it off. Or a pair of tin snips will work also. Do you have a pair of Bone cutters, the kind used in fragging, those all work also but using them for that will make'em kinda dull. Just make sure you put a towel down under where you are working and do it close to the towel so it falls on the towel.

How ever you do it you will need Rubber gloves and full coverage safety glasses, read this and you will understand why. Zoa's and palys are extremely poisonous. They contain Palytoxin which in the older days was used on the end of spears to aid in killing what ever they speared.

If you get it in your eyes it can blind you and at the very least it will make you extremely uncomfortable. If you get it in a cut no matter how small it is will make you really sick and depending on if you get to the right doctor it can kill you. If something happens and you have to go to the doctor always take something with you that explains what you were doing and what Palytoxin is because most doctors haven't a clue what it is and there is a specific antidote that they can use.

Last but not least, always make sure you work where there is no way of anybody else, kids, wife and especially DOGS an CATS to get hold of that stuff. It can and will kill your dog, There is a long thread on Reef Central about how one of the members lost his dog in just a few hours to that ****.

Hopefully I have put the fear of god into about this stuff because it is some pretty scary stuff, just be careful when working with Zoa's and Palys thats all.
