Purple Frilly Rhino Fish

I have totally lost it...I have way too many tanks now....I had brought one of my older tanks to the LFS a while back to sell it used. Well so far I have not had any takers.

Today a fish that I had been researching had caught my attention! All the LFS owners and workers know me VERY well and know my weakness for unusual fish and my know about my OBSESSION!

So the owner started talking to me about this purple frilly rhino fish which he got in....really had not come in as purple as he would have like it (but it is a baby and they mimic their surroundings somewhat from my research). I talked with him for a while and was telling him about this pink one that I had been watching for a while at another store and how I have really wanted one, but have kind of ran out of tanks. I mentioned that I wanted to maybe get my old tank back and perhaps set that up...but that it was way to big for that fish....well...I not only got a fantastic deal on this purple frilly rhino, I got 2, that is right 2 brand new tanks for my old tank right there! Again, not really the most purple but hopefully with the right food he will purple up more with age

I have enough rock and water from my other tanks to just transfer water and rock and filter material and place him in the new tank today...however I was very leary of doing that. So I managed to play around a little with my other species tanks and have somebody babysit my seahorse for a while and placed him in my seahorse tank until the new tank is ready.

That also meant I had to re-establish my feeder tank that I had just torn down a couple months ago!

Now I have a second tank that I need to figure out what to place in it....maybe an angler again? And I am getting another 14g tank in a couple weeks...that will make 5 species tanks, 1 135g tank and a feeder tank.

CAN YOU SAY CRAZY??? I already spend most of my time doing maint and water changes on my tanks...add these extra ones on...good thing I have no social life!!

 

Girl! You are worse than I am, and that is saying a LOT!!! We only have 3 tanks right now and when the big one goes up the little one is going to be a fuge.

Although, I collect other things like puppies and iguanas. It is a cool fish though, I'll give you that. I bet your LFS orders these fish (and other critters) all while saying, "Melissa won't be able to resist!" Do you still have your sea robin (or whatever that thing was)?

No...It just disappeared one day! I think it might be in my fuge. It is positioned in a way that I can not see it...but I know for a fact that I have a pearly headed jawfish in there right now as I did see that one day briefly! The searobin was eating, doing great and then one day just disappeared.

I am pretty sure they order with that in mind! I am out of room though now for anything else. I have officially surpassed the "crazy fish woman" to PSYCHO WENCH!!! My house now hums....and there is this blue glow radiating from all my windows

 

I'm actually cackling and I better quit before I wake the kids.
