Bought one Friday..its Sunday and hasn't opened up yet. I could see that it goes very little and then stops. Its in the middle of the tank. ( 29 gallon Biocube). Any suggestions?

Try giving it more flow, and an image would be great, I am unfamilar with the common name you are using for the gorgonian. Flower pot always makes me think Goniopora a LPS.

Edit: basically not enough coffee. Goniopora not gorgonian, my apologies.

I have a frag of neon green gonio and found the best polyp extention under milder flow with high light,i've only had it for a couple months and will say it's a very moody coral.Seems if you just look at it wrong,it will close up.The research i have done came up with this being a difficult coral to keep and few have success keeping them long term, but others say it can be done.I also target feed at least once or twice a week with zooplex.

i have several of these in my tank. i have noticed when the local store gets them in it, at times takes a few days to a week for them to start to open again. once it does you will love it. they dont seem to need much water movement.

you would think i only had one fish the way this fish is always in the pictures. he knows how pretty he is i think.

the darker pink one is the creeping type. the bright orangy pink is the ball type. like the large one at the top of the picture, the large one reaches the surface of the water at times, i think they do well in my tank because i feed so much and always have some nitrates. there are 2 others not pictured
