    O thanks guys I looked into the tomni tang and koletang I like them both so I think I'll go with one of those thanks for the help.

    Also check out Scopas Tangs, they are pretty and you can get some amazing morphs

    Dont forget there are LOTS of other bristletooths that are less commonly seen in LFS

    ive had a purple in my tank for over 2 yrs now. he healthy and happy. he has a kole as a tank mate too. lol. they both get along fine , after a short aclimatizing time together. this is just my experience .

    They should charge admissions to read the tang threads, always very entertaining. It's the sound of 20 people talking and nobody listening :lol:

    Funny, i googled it and 9 out of 10 things i read said they grow really fast, like upwards of 4-6"'s a year!

    Regardless, its ALWAYS bad advice to tell someone to get a fish in anticipation of an upgrade, especially one that is super sensitive to stress related diseases and that requires alot of swimming room! Why recommend setting somebody up for failure when there are tons of better options? Ones that were already posted!

    The OP is on the right track, don't steer her into a tree!;)

    I was just at a speaking event and the speaker was a very well known national speaker state that they are very slow growers. 4-6ins a year? yea right, give me a break.
