lol! Sorry, not sure why i put her! But those are better options! The mimic prob the best! But with any tang, just read up on them, they are prone to a few diseases other fish aren't! read this by vinny!http://www.3reef.com/forums/new-hobby/simple-rules-avoid-ich-126326.html

good luck! It is your tank, do what you will, just read before ya buy! Sorry this got testy!;)

I've seen people keep Labs on a 5' chain, just because it lives, doesn't make it a good idea!

Oh yeah, my bad, you've seen it work, so it ALWAYS works!? I think there is generally a reason experts suggest mimimum tank sizes, and 3 out of 4 people would agree that housing a tang in a tank smaller than recommended can and probably will lead to disease in either it or its tank mates! And not an expert, but fat prob isn't a good thing for a fish that is designed to swim 20+ miles a day!

but hey, that's why these are always a debate! Always 2 sides to a story! Could it work...YES, could there be issues....YES! So saying its cool like there aren't negative possiblities, is not the appropriate response without qualifiers!IMO

i say the professionals know best. live aquaria says 125 gallons minimum. you don't have one I'm assuming, so you wouldn't know. tangs are swimmers. 90 gallons have depth, not length. a 125 has 6 feet in length which is better for the tang. you aren't the fish, sou you don't know if he is happy, do you really think any fish in an aquarium of any size are happy? no. but don't make the purple tang suffer. it will shorten his life.
