Some will be and some wont. Just luck on the particular fish.

lol! maybe! maybe not! they can be prone to nip! i;ve never had a problem, but i may be lucky! i really don't think there are many set in stone rules with reefs! i just love angels, so i choose to roll the dice knowing it may have a bad consequence! The best thing to do is research and then decide what you are and aren't willing to deal with! For instance, I'd love to have a wrasse, but they're jumpers, and i don't want a lid/mesh over my tank, so i don't have one! You could get a purple tang and maybe have no problems! But then again, it could grow quicke, harass your other tank mates and cause an ICH outbreak!

it's really up to you! almost all fish come with their own little issues! Ya just have to decide what ones you're willing to accomodate!;)

Quite a few different posts. Not singling anyone out but some statements need to have a tad bit more thought into them other then some numbers. Well is true they get big and need the space. There are many other very reputable dealers around and they have the numbers a lot lower.

My purple tang is doing just fine in my 4foot tank and going on 3 years with me. The Zebrasoma family is a very hardy fish that said. There are also many ways to help the fish out in the tank sizes that the average home has.

I agree 100% which is why in that post i said I'm not a stickler on the numbers! But i do think it's a bad idea to simpy say a purple or hippo is "cool" for a 90 without stating the dangers/needs of it in a tnk that size, ie. low stress, good food, diseases etc! i don't like the hard lined rules either, but people just need to be aware of the issues a stressed tang will have and need to be prepared for what will likely happen with one in too small of a tank at some point!

Prob! But i'd go to walmart and get a 30 gallon tote! Actually 3 of them! They're about $15 a pop! 1 for QT hopsital tank! 1 for reserve RODI water for emergencies! and 1 for mixing your salt water!
