Does anyone have experience with these guys? I have read a little on them and the main concern would be keeping them in the tank. I picked up 3 of them from my LFS today and they were eating flakes so thats a plus.

I also read they do better in pairs, seems to make them less scared. They have amazing lilac/purple color.

Any experience, or words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Those are gorgeous!! Good luck with them!! I've only read they are difficult fish and don't seem to live long in home aquariums, but I think that might be food related. So that's great that yours are eating! I believe they need to be fed more than once a day as well.

    We need pictures! :)

I have never seen them before, they are a really cool swimming fish. I'll keep everyone updated and pics will be for sure coming, as soon as they get acclimated.

very cool fish but definately JUMPERS!!!! Make sure you have your tank covered or else they will commit suicide. Also, frequent meals are necessary.

Get a night light to keep on there..... they tend to jump when the lights click off.

They are like the number one jumpers.... you have to try and elimiate all potential startle situations. Even if they don't jump out because of a lid, they can still smash themselves on the lid making them a little "Herp Derp".
