I have used it. My green star polyps love it. But for me I haven't noticed a real big difference in coralline growth. Had my tank since February and still don't have it growing on the glass.

I haven't used it, but I keep the cal around 450 and I have quite a bit of it. Corals are just fine with what I do. All tanks are different.

I have never used it either, but you really dont need it. As long as you have decent lighting and keep your Cal between 400-500, you should be fine. Becareful with Purple-up, as it has alot of Iodine. Luna

This is a touchy topic, some say they dose it and others dont. You can buy an Iodine test kit, they do exist. IMO, I think that the system should have it. If you notice on a MSDS sheet on all salt mixes, they all mix in Iodine. This is a personal pref. Luna

I use purple up and have had great success with it. You still need to keep an eye on your parameters cause its easy to overdose with it and can have a reverse effect like not growing any coraline when overdosed.

I have used it and I don't know if it did anything . If you have a good colony of it on your live rock then once your tank is well established it will start to go crazy purple up or not. I am scraping it off the front glass now every week and I haven't used the purple up in months. If you scrape little bits off your rocks the spores will circulate through your tank and it will pop up other places.
