    wow i dont want to be scraping all day either but ill giv it a little shot sounds good though cause i started with alot of dead clean rock so i want to boost it a little

    If you keep the Ca, Mg, and Dkhº at a desirable level you would have more than you need, also by using a quality salt, I use coralife salt mix, and I'm starting to get scared of the coralline taking over, and my tank is just going into the 7th month

    you might want to pick up some LR with some coraline on it that would really help you out . any way you can get some coraline spores into your system is gonna help the cause

    I use it all the time, but not for coralline algae growth, just for the trace elements. Its got a wider range of minerals than say, Kent Essential, so you can use Purple-Up and keep fewer bottles to get all the elements. Its good just to keep the trace elements in there, but there is no "magic coralline growth explosion" over any other element/mineral additives.
    It does have iodine, but not a lot. Keep in mind that if you keep inverts, your going to need the iodine, its very important for them. I have never had excess algae or anything like that from using it. It will make your water cloudy for a bit though.
