    I have some LFS prescribed purple up. I have coralline in the tank already. I have been using as prescribed on bottle for about 2 weeks.

    I read this on a thread;

    "Purple up is expensive and it will not create coralline, it only helps what you have to grow better/faster. If you use a toothbrush on your existing coralline with the skimmer and aim a powerhead onto the rocks your brushing, it will help the coralline to spread faster."

    Any input out there?

    I used it once, seriously - 1 dose.. have not used it since and my rocks get covered quickly with out it.

    With the new 24cube, I'm on a week now with it and I have purple starting on the back with out adding anything but calc and mag.

    I have some, I've used it a few times, I am not sure if it helps or not. I use it more for aiptasia killing, however now I got some kalk which works better. Every once and a while my man will ask me to dose some purple up so I do, but I won't buy another bottle after this one is gone.

    Wow. One week. I took a picture of my tank with a flash to expose all the coralline and plan to take another pic soon. My LFS pro told me 6 weeks. I do not have any growing on my glass even before the additive. Following directions, 5ml a day for my estimated 70 gallons of displaced water.

    Nay, keep Mg up and mother nature will do it for you. It is a sign of a well established tank.

    Yep. Kalk is short for kalkwasser. German for limewater. It's a calcium supplement
