You may have to adjust with some testing, but I'm using Kent's Liquid Calcium which seems to be working.

This may be soon or normal not sure but I'm noticing some slight purple spottings so I think this stuff will do good as long as you have good lighting and the right param,I been doing micro water changes such as 26 cups every 2-3 days.

I never used purple up, and I've got purple, pink, red, green, and white growth all through my tank. I did, however, buy a few pounds of purple cured rock and scratched the heck out of it with a steel scrubbing brush. It took about a month to see some good growth, but it was easier and a lot cheaper to buy 50lbs base rock and seed it that way.

Let's be honest though. Purple up isnt bad. It is useful and does server its intended purpose. Its kinda an entry level product. Kinda like Odyssea lights.

I never said it wouldnt work, I just think it's a waste of money, when you are going to get the same result with time.

It contains iodine too and over dosing that will bring about some bad results. I used this in my tanks when I first started out and have backed off as there are other alternatives to getting the supplements into the tank that can be more easily watched. READ THE DIRECTIONS!
