I dont like it or ever have used it. It contains Iodine, so you should test for it if your planning on using it. Luna

I use it. It wont cause a coraline explosion. Its good to keep your CA, MG, and DKh levels proper. That's the only reason I use it. One bottle vs numerous bottles. It will cloud your water for a couple of hours or so after using it. It doesn't put enough iodine in the water to notice any type of actual increase (have tested).

Packleader's right. It won't cause a coralline "explosion" but I did notice and increase in coralline after I started using it, not much but noticeable. You have to have coralline in the tank before you use it for it to work, it builds on what you already have. Some people don't like the coralline because it's a pain to scrape off, I'm starting to lean in that direction myself now. I think you'll get mixed results from whoever you talk to.

i have a slightly different expierence with it, if your coralline isn't growing already its a waste of money, you have other problems you need to fix. but if it is growing i wouldn't use it, because it will cause some quite impressive growth, every where not just the rocks. but if it is growing already you don't need it, catch 22.

so it won't fix a problem, but it may boost growth with already happily growing coralline.

MO is don't try to boost coralline growth once you tank is fully established(not same thing as cycled) you will have plenty of growth enough that you will come to hate it like a seasoned reef veteran.

I like to dose everything separately. It gives me more control IMO.

I used it mainly to raise Ca levels it didnt really do anything for coralline growth, also contains iodine so be careful with daily dosage.

If you keep your Cal, Mag and Alk levels where they should be on a consist basis, you wouldnt need to dose Purple-Up(PU). Remember that its not a good idea to "rush" anything in this hobby. If you need to dose PU, then your doing something wrong. JMO Luna
