My current bulbs are 2 years old...have really no coral, just some zoa's...what should I know about replacing the lamps...like should I put the light cycle on a shorter time for the next couple of days?

Do one bulb at a time and wait a few weeks in between each one.8)

opinions vary. can do as mention change one bulb at a time or cut your light schedule in half and and 1hr ever 2-3 days until back to your 8-12 hr full cycle. with just zoas it shouldnt be a big deal.. also can lower corals to bottom and slowly raise them back up.

With only zoas, I'd replace all at once and shorten photo period by two hours, then slowly bring it back each day, though it probably wouldn't hurt anything to do it with no adjustments to photo period at all.

All good ways of dealing with the bulb change. I like the change one bulb every 2 or 3 days myself.
