methylene glycol should work, but will be very messy. It will eat anything it touches, so if it runs.......

Silicone is much cleaner/easier to work with, but will not be as strong a bond.

How about just getting a 5 minute 2 part epoxy that you could bond virtually anything together with? It should only be a few bucks at kmart, walmart or wherever.

Not once it hardens, it is just like any plastic. People use it all the time for epoxying rocks together and stuff. Even your LFS probably carries just about the same stuff that is "reef safe" for 5 times the price if it makes you feel better to spend big and support your LFS.

well i aquired 2 acrylic tanks, one 10 gallon and a 5 gallon and am going to make a sump/fuge for my 75 gallon tank. will be using the smaller one for my return. and baffel off about 4" of the 10 gallon for input and LR rubble. use PVC pipe to connect the two. i have a light setup for a 10 gallon tank allready so just need to purchace some 1/4" acrylic sheet for baffles from a local merchant. can get for 6$ a sq. ft. so wont break the bank and will be strong enough. will post some pics as i go through the process. thanks for the input.
