H is almost done cementing the pipes for the sump, they all smell SO bad, even after washing, is this something that's dangerous?

He is using OATEY PVC cement and primer.

    I know that sounds silly...

Thanks! I was looking back on the search and saw it's what a lot of people used. I was just wondering how long it needs to set..

Well, pretty much all, if not all of the large SPS systems I've seen have used it. I have as well. So, I can at least say there are no obvious detrimental effects :)

24 hours is the normal full cure time for PVC cement.

Yeah, it does stink. I'd give it at least 8 hours. Granted I have glued, replumbed, and ran water through piping that I let dry for 10min.

Not always the case, vapors can stay trapped in piping that does not allow the vapors to evaporate.
