PVC glue

    I rinse it out really well after waiting the 24 hours. I'm kind of cautious about these things though. I think after setting up my sump with plumbing I ran RO through it for a day with carbon before emptying as much as possible and filling with saltwater.

    Oatey "Rain-R-Shine" glue is great stuff, BTW ... costs a couple bucks more but needs no primer and will work in wet conditions.

    If you use primer I would highly recommend the clear primer, looks cleaner and more importantly if you drip some somewhere accidentally it's not going to stain like the purple stuff.

    I like the blue because I can see thin spots or spots where there is no glue. You can always paint it white if the blue bothers you.

    From my research the primer probably isn't even needed since most people's systems are not under any real amount of pressure, as long as you use a good amount of cement it should be just fine, within reason of course. I like using the primer because I prefer overkill/overbuilding when it comes to tons of water in my apartment. :)
