PVC - How long to wait?

    Im done gluing all of my pvc together, just wondering how long you all waited before you started using it?

    I used regular purple primer and pvc cement

    I've used new plumbing on an established system right away with no ill effects. But "they" say if you can smell the glue/primer it isn't fully cured. If you can just run some fresh water through it before installing it on the system and you'll be all right.

    I always wait a couple of hours before adding water but it should be fine right away.
