I went to one of my LFS's in the area ( the other one closes on tuesdays for maintenance) and found a different booster for the MJ600, but the tip was too open and I know my snails will get in there, so I didn't get it.

Do you know if the Sure Flo brand has a little more protection for snails than the eco system one?

I'm not sure if I need to be happy or concerned. I finally got the sure flow mod and installed it on my MJ-1200 and boy, that makes my koralia 4 feel like it just lost a spelling bee contest with its family, best friends and worst enemy watching.

I believe my fish are happy with the extra flow and quickly getting used to the change. I had to re-locate some of my corals. I think my mushrooms will definitely detach from their spot just like the ricordea shroom I just lost somewhere behind my live rock.

What I am most concerned about, are my snails. They seem to be unable to stay firm on the ground or glass and they look like gymnasts performing triple full jumps.

Should I switch to the smaller propeller and use it with the MJ-600 instead? I think this may be too much flow. There is no sandstorm, but I can see it shifting some, the sand that is. Some of the snails proved to be quite the fighters and are still attached to the glass, but I see others all piled up in a corner where the flow deposits them.

You were right, Night-Rida....sure flow mod rips.... the snails of my glass and substrate ;)
