Hi everyone, I was wondering about the use of pvc for
aquascaping a reef. I would like to make pillars and
a mountains with numerous caves and decent surface area
for the placement of corals. Its will be in a 75 gallon
(18"x48"x20" high). Im wondering if a way of doing it
would be to use thinner pvc and drill holes in the rock
and enclose the pvc (kinda like putting donuts on a stick).
I could use the coral epoxy to stick rock rubble and sand
around visable pvc once the structure is complete. I was
thinking of putting "little feet" at the 4 or 5 contact
points to keep the rock off the sand also. Im thinking
since i would be doing alot of fitting out of the tank
that my rock would dry out to some degree but i guess it
would be worth it after all was done...ne one done this
or think its a good idea?
    Thanks
    Dennis

it can be done, but i would get some starboard or something so there isnt areas with more pressure on glass than other areas.

Oh, no i wouldnt glue the pvc to the tank. I wanna make to sections using the pvc as a skeleton for each side of the tank leaving the center clear for fish swimming room. Would u happen to know what aqua boy was talking about when he mentioned starboard?
