Do you just dip the coral a couple seconds in Fw? or I heard people dipping them into iodide? Wich one or is both okay to do? I just dont want any bad pest in my tank. thanks!

Certain corals can take certain dips. Usually you use iodine for hard corals, especially sps corals. In that case, you use tank water and add the appropriate amount of iodine or lugol's solution. Leave the coral there for 10-15 min. and remove. Freshwater dips are much harder on a coral IMO and I have only used it on zoas. It should be used very sparingly IMO.

For new corals I do 5 minutes in seachem reef dip (iodine) and revive. If it's a particularly crusty or porous piece of rock or something I might do 10 minutes. I also use a pipette to "baste" them so that anything on the coral/frag plug gets blown around and off. After the dip I shake them off in a separate container of tank water to rinse the chemicals off and to try and shake off anything else that might just be barely clinging on or that settled back on the coral or plug.
