I have had a duncan that has gotten alot bigger since i bought it, it is sprouting a new head and everything..But whenever i see pictures of duncans they have like longer tentacles then mine, mine are quite short. I target feed it maybe once over week or so.

Are there like different types of them or something? or am i doing something wrong?

There are various types of Duncans. Some have longer tentacles than others. They also vary in coloration.

There is some variation, however, it can depend on flow, feeding and light. I have two different types and I target feed mine and keep them in a lower whispy kind of a flow, and the heads are huge. A friend of mine has the same ones in a high flow environment and does not target feed them. His Duncan heads are much smaller and grow tighter together. You would think they are not even the same coral. I have the same experience with Dendros regarding flow.

Thanks, I was just wondering about it and making sure everything is alright with it. Mine are in medium to low flow at the top of the tank.

Cool. If they don't maintain a deep color, move them down a little, otherwise leave em alone!
