Should I QT my CuC for my new tank? If so how many can I put in a 10g QT tank?

No, you do not need to QT your CuC.

just remember to do a nice slow drip acclimation. Ime they will do a lot better with that procedure vs a simple temp acclimation.

I do plan on the drip acclimation rather than the 1/4 every few mins. Just a better practice all together.

Well it depends. If we are talking snails/hermits that were shipped to you, it is recommended to just temp acclimate and then add to the tank. I have done this with hundreds of snails, and did not notice a single loss from acclimating this way (possible there were some of course, just none that I noticed). And kind of shrimp or other sensitive invert I would definitely drip.

I am just not willing to take the chance. I am buying a living creature, and I don't want to kill them. I realize there will be things that cause losses, but I dont want it to be due to my negligence.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Are you getting them on line or locally?

In a new set up I would go light on the snails unless you have a significant algae bloom. Get smaller types of hermits as well. Those big ones in a 10 gallon while comical can be a PITA.

I try to check everything for flatworms before I put them in a tank. If you buy locally just make sure the tank they come out of looks fairly clean with no flatworms.

I will be getting them online, and I plan on getting one of those smaller CuC packs from Reefs2go.com
