Okay, so I have this extra little 10 gallon tank laying around and was thinking of starting a QT tank. What exactly do you guys keep in yours? Are they set-up exactly like my big tank? Or just fill it with water and use it when needed, since it would only be temporary anyways?

I leave my Q-tank down until I need it for livestock. I can have it set up in about 45 minutes if needed. I just add water from the display and fire the pumps. I replace water from the display that I took out, it's only about 25g to get it started.

Power head, heater, and filter pad, and a place to hide. no cabon while treating.
I keep it up all the time now , just makes it easier. And if I come home with a new fish, I cant talk myself into not using it.

    Test and maintain as needed.

K+ to that. Same here, I need to set up another one. My QT turned into a nano. Hate it when that happens. Also, no sand. Bare bottom.

Yeah, I guess depending on what and how you are treating, you would need two. Never thought of that.

Hahaha, thats exactly what I am afraid is going to happen. ;D Oh, I remember back in the day when I thought I was going to put a few hundred bucks into a FOWLR tank. Now I have inverts, polyps, zoa's, and all the equipment....8)
