I have a question: should I quarantine cleaners (snails, hermit, shrimp, stars, etc)?

I dont. I really dont think its needed. But be aware the stars are very hard to keep and you should really read up on their care.

I found the stars do much better in a full blown reef. I currently have about 12 of them between 12-16 in. During the day your lucky to spot 1 or 2. But at night I toss in some larger spectrum pellets (that the fish can't eat) and they all come out. It is pretty sweet to watch. You can basically feed them anything. But you do need to feed them. Just don't get the green one as it will trap and eat some of your fish.

I soak my inverts in some tank water in a bowl before placing them in my tank after aclimating them just to make sure I do not introduce any water from the store. I dont know if this helps but after a bout of ich I'm paranoid about introducing anything into my tanks.

I myself never quarentened snails shrimp or anything like that but have given them a lot longer acclimation then fish. A slower acclimation is better for them.
