Do snails need to be quarantined like fish before they go into the main tank?

Technically, everything you put in your tank should be quarantined, be it corals, inverts, and even macro algae. However, I doubt you would find anyone who did QT their snails. I QT all of my fish, but not corals or inverts (corals get dipped).

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
While everything moist has the potential to carry marine parasite such as marine ich most hobbyist do not QT members of the CUC.

A visual check for aiptasia and flatworms is probably a good idea.

Snails do very poorly with changes in specific gravity and pH so I doubt dips would be indicated but I could be wrong.

Hopefully someone else will chime in with alternatives.

Your best bet would be to visually inspect them, particularly around their operculum and give their shells a light scrubbing with a toothbrush to remove any critters or egg masses that may be on them.
