I'm setting up a 100 gallon with W/D filter, and protein skimmer.
I remembered there is an old 10 gallon tank buried in the garage.

Which do you feel would be a greater benefit, converting the 10 gallon to a deep sand bed, or use it as a quarantine tank?
The Wet Dry is set up that the last portion ("Downstream") is where the skimmer is; would a sand bed AFTER the skimmer have any real benefit?

    Thanks.

i would put the skimmer after the deep sand bed, if you do it, and if you do a deep sand bed why not do a refugium also? but i have learned the real benefit of a quaritine 2 weeks ago. its ur choice.

I agree, a QT is going to be a much greater benefit than a small DSB.
