Do you have a sponge in your main tank filter you can cut a piece of that and stick it in the filter of you qt. It will need to cycle and you should always keep a cheap damsel in there to keep the bio up and running. Once you need to qt a fish just get a little breeder net and stick the damsle in there so he won't bother you fish in the qt.I have a 15 gallon with an aqua clear 30 some pvc tubes and some crushed coral all is great. Also you can drop your salinity to 1.018 or 1.019. I have mine with copper in it all the time ICK will rule your main tank get rid of it early.

Just wait till you enter the real world with a J.O.B. ............. and Mom, you should try and help him find one, maybe at a LFS. Just might open his eyes up and be a bit more appreciative to all of the things you do for him... Setting up that 10 gallon will look like a walk in the park after a week of good solid work.

That's all fine and dandy, it's just I've had 3 paying jobs in 2 years, along with a butt load of volunteer work. One was at a local hobby store, another was working for my best friend's parents at a children's birthday place, and the last one was a kayaking instructor and camp counselor at a summer camp last summer. I was gone for 8 weeks, coming home and sleeping on saturday, then going back to the place on sunday.

That 10 gallon's got NOTHIN on what I spent on RC Planes. And my car. And the trip coming up. That car repair shouldn't really be counted against me...cause it wasn't my fault. :D

Hehhhh. Nothing like working a good 40-60+ hour week, considering your "free time" your hours spent in airports waiting to catch your plane, your "relaxation and time off" the hours actually spent on a plane, or at your office during the few minutes you're not on conference calls, sending mass amounts of e-mail, managing stressful projects and doing your best to meet deadlines and budgets, and basically dealing with large amounts of stress 24/7. I think my total number of hotel stays was almost 3 months out of my year in '08.

Setting up a new tank is a walk in the park, and I wish I had more time to spend with mine ::)

Just a reminder most wrasses need a sandbed to sleep most of them do not live in a qt tank very long. I usually aclimate them real slow to my tank water and dip them and add them to my show tank.

We changed our mind on the guy. He's put up with the blenny's antics now. Like an old dog getting used to the new puppy, I guess. That little blenny sure acts like a puppy. and he was FREE. Muahahahahaha.

I'd rather be the person designing the planes rather than flying on them. (jeez pistol shrimp went off again...loud sucker) Aerospace Engineering I want thee! :D

Actually, he's working for me right now. He's going scuba diving in the Bahamas in February and was supposed to help fund his trip. So, he will be doing some fun stuff for me for awhile.....really fun stuff.....laundry, cleaning out closets, cleaning out the attic, cleaning out the garage, pooper scooping the back yard. I have a really exciting weekend already planned for him! ;D
