First, should one quarantine inverts the same as fish, or are there different methods, or do they even need to be quarantined? Second, do inverts count towards the total bioload? Other words, Do they count towards the total number of fish able to be kept?

If it came in wet and in a bag of water then if you are going to bother to quarantine one thing then why not everything ? The bacteria can not be seen and there may be some in the bag of water and or on the shrimp. No they do not add much of a load and if you are going to quarantine anything then it takes about 3 months to be sure .. There are many disease that take up wards of 12 weeks to fully culture and to die out of a system also.
