    Hi all!
Wiill actrivated charcoal full some nitrate out of a quarentine tank. Have some filter material in my hank on filter which has been sitting in my sump, but the NH4 seems to hang around 0.25. Doing 10% water changes every other day. Getting ready to put some clowns in my main tank (first fish) but know that NH4 is a little high (just in the QT tank) for more sensitive species as I move them through. Thanks!!- Paul

Do you mean nitrIte? If nitrAte is .25ppm thats fine. Right now its at about 15ppm in my display with sensitive fish and coral. If you mean nitrIte than I don't believe charcoal will pull it out. Just do a water change and it should help as long as your water is free of it.

We added our clowns to help cycle the tank when the ammonia was a little high. We added a bottle of Nitrifying bacteria (not chemical, all biological organic stuff) to keep things safe, but things worked out perfectly. Clowns are troopers, and we still have that pair today.
