My LFS got a small one in and I was thinking of getting it. From experience, do these nip coral a lot. would you say it is more likely for this or say a flame angel to nip coral? are they disease prone (which diseases), are they hard to get to eat? Any other info?
    Thanks in advance.

LOL.....only put a queen angel in a tank with fake corals. As stated above, it will not nip them....it will eat them all in short period of time.

Ok what about the eating and diseases? I have a FOWLR tank but plan to upgrade in a few months to a reef. I may get him then sell him when i start my reef. I have never seen one this cheap locally, ($500TT as compared to $800TT) even though they are locally caught. I want to find out a bit more on their hardiness though. I really love this fish though. Any help?

Why would you get a fish to only sell it in a few months? I'm just wondering, because I couldn't do that!

I've also read they can be quite aggressive and need big tanks.

I want to eventually convert to a reef but that's not 100% sure just yet. So it may be a good while longer than a few months. The fish is really small, that's the only reason I am considering it for my tank but I may have to eventually sell it whether I convert to reef or not. It wont be hard for me to do as long as I know he would be going to a good home where he will be well cared for.

Well, alright then. I just get too attached, I could never part with a fish! Doing a quick Google search, it seems like a minimum of 150 gallons. So I don't know how long your 80 gallon will be okay for. But other than that, the info just warns to add them last because they can be aggressive. As long as the lil' guy is eating in the LFS, he should do okay in your tank. Just make sure it's nice and dirty for the fish - lots of algae and other growth on the live rock. Also, info says they can be quite hardy if the tank is large enough, there's enough for them to eat and they have acclimated well.

I was just doing some more research and I'm not sure if I'll go with this fish anymore. I think my tank may be to small even for a short term. I think maybe a flame angel instead. It's just that the flame angels are more expensive than the queens here, whereas on most sites the queen angels go for about double the price of the flame.
