    A second option, is getting the Nova Exterme 36 inch fixture and get a retro fit to go with it. Increases light output, and giving my tank much more light, so I have a wider variety. However does the retro fit kit add to light output, or does it just cover over a single light amount increasing it?

    Check out marinedepot.com, they sell alot of smaller pendant type MH/PC lights.
    PFO has a light 5.5"Hx11"Wx26.5"L You can get it with 150-250 HQI MH and VHO or PC bulbs.
