Was just at my lsf and was disscussing my water. Asking about my phosphate and calcium and wether to test of not. I do not have corals but he said with using RO water I need to add trace back to the water. Now he sold me some stuff called Fuel by Aquavitro for that purpose. Now while I was there I was reading the bottle and it lists all the minerals in it and copper is listed. Now I do have inverts and I know copper will kill them. Do I use this stuff or not?

I wouldn't when you do a water change you will be replacing those elements back into the water with the salt you are using.
I occasionally use coral Vite if I get lazy on water changes. It doesn't have copper in it.

I guess I am confused as to why there would be copper in it?

Well I can say when I pointed this out to him he was a little shocked himself. He said he uses it in all of his tanks. Still a little puzzled though. Is it such a small amount that it isn't enough to hurt the inverts?

First for a saltwater tank you do not need to put anything back into the RO/DI water, the salt in the tank takes care of everything you need.

Now the reason for the copper in the fuel, is that it is part of one of the salts used to make it. The level should be very very low and should not cause a problem if you are doing proper water changes.
