We are still cycling our tank, and I want to add actinic lights to what we already have (48" HQI 2x150W). What type & wattage should I get?

    Thanks!

if you are just looking for bulbs, I would go with URL super actinic bulbs. I run these in my setup and love them. They produce a slightly more lavender color than other bulbs, but the corals love them. I would go with 48" 54watt bulbs.

Actually, we would need the entire fixture.

If you have room on top, I'd get a 48" T-5 fixture like Nova or Current. or you can go the cheap rout and get a standard 48" 2x40w T-12 fixture w/ 40w actinic bulbs. that might be best cause you don't need much more wattage in your tank.
