Salt is Salt. I use the cheapest which is Reef Crystals :) read this and you'll see why.

they wouldnt really benefit from adding the supplements because with frequent water changes you're giving your corals everything essential they need to survive, grow, color up, and be healthy. if you dont do water changes these elements will be used up and then needed to be replaced ie: supplements... you can also look at it as adding too much fertilizer to a plant, it can only use so much for its own benefit, the rest is wasted. salt mixes provide everything your animals(corals) need to prosper. i have prob spent $140 on supplements i wont ever use, luckily petco return policy doesnt ask many questions as to where i purchased what or when :) so maybe you can try returning your unopened supplements that way, also they dont really even check so you can prob return nearly full supplements too. just a thought(not trying to be dishonest but petco and other big time corps can shove it)

I would disagree...salt is not just salt....different salt has different levels of nutrients and supplements in it...I have found Kent Marine to be the most consistent from box to box...
