question about mixing kalkwasser

I need to know if when I mix kalwasser with water I need to shake the can or not. I am new to kalkwasser, I bought a additive called NATUREEF REEF
FEER FORMER CONCENTRATE It saids that I need to shake the bottle until all the power is dissolve and then add three caps full per gallon of water.
So I just add the the 3 cups full to the 1 gallon container and dont mix it? just start dripping after that? I need your help in this because my calcium is not reaching the 450 ppm of calcium, is just reads about 300 or 320 every time I test it Thank for your help.

 

I would stir it slowly. Do not shake it because if you do, CO2 will get into the mixture and decrease the effectiveness of the kalkwasser.

 

I mexed my kalkwasser but i don't have a drip system....how do i know how much to add?

or is the only way to add is to drip?

I mixed per instructions 2 TSP to 1 Gallon RO/DI water

You just need to add it slowly over time so that it doesn't affect PH. Dripping is the easiest
Also check your Mag if it's low it will effect your CA and ALK
You can add a power head in to stir it till it's all dissolved or fully saturated let it settle
then pour off all the clear water into a separate container and dose

 

The drip method is the best way to dose Kalk and any other element. Becareful with Kalk b/c its real easy to over dose it. Luna

 

So i should not add it unless i have a drip system?
