The silicone on one of the corners of my tanks is lifting and peeling. I was wondering if I should be concerned about leaks or breaking.
Should I drain and re-seal or is it nothing to worry about?

That would depend on your comfort level or maybe I should say dis-comfort level. If it at the very edge of the silicone I would not worry.

hmm...it's left side, back tank. like 3 inches entirely peeling, right in the middle!

Pic? At the seam itself, or at the edge of the silicone "smear?"

the new silicone won't entirely stick to already cured silicone on there now like it was fresh but you can give it a try.

...A reseal really requires it all being dismantled, cleaned and resealed. There really isn't any "patching" with silicone.

think of it like a gasket or an o-ring. if the o-ring breaks, there is not fixin' it.

I agree, if its in the middle of the seam then you will probably have to dismantle, remove the old silicone, clean and reseal.

pics would help though if you can

it's not at the edge, it's right on the seam, right in the middle and like 3 inches of it!
I just called my fish guy and he is giving me a 55 with a stand, not drilled. I just got an awesome protein skimmer (+K you know who you are) thank goodness. So, I'm headed to pick up the tank, then go to home depot for chains and brackets to hang my lights.
Sigh...yep I am moving everything over today. Totally not looking forward to this, but I am searching my house for tubs. ha!
Then I'll just give the 30 back, he can do what he wants with it.
I'll take pictures of this very ugly little project.
