Question about phosphates

    I would change it out after one or two weeks and then substitute GFO/carbon mix. Maybe chemipure elite or clear blue fx pro.

    The problem I have found with phosguard is that it really sucks up the phosphates fast. Running an accurate phophate test concurrently with it, will tell you how long it really lasts in your system. If you decide to stick with phosguard, the testing will tell you how long it is lasting for your system. Each persons' system will be different when it comes to levels of things.

    I would however make an assumption that if you have used RODI from the beginning (not even using tap water for the initial fill), have done water changes religiously, and have a fairly new system then you will probably have lower phosphates.

    Phosphate(r) is a resin that absorbs the p04 in your tank, but it won't release it after full. Best thing is, when you soak it in brine, it's reusable up to 4 times. I run about 1.5 tea spoons in my reactor each month to month and 1/2.
