As some of you guys know, I just installed a homemade refugium to my existing system. I bought a Coralife 12" dual 18w 7100k daylight bulbs for the light source. I have 10 mangroves and a decent size ball of cheato(You can see it in my video). Is this enough? Or do I need something better? Luna

I'd think that will be enough Luna. I'm going to try and go overboard when I set the 180 back up. I'm using one set of my old PC's (2 X 65 watt) over my fuge. Hopefully overkill isn't a bad thing on a fuge. It will be running on a reverse cycle...

I dont even have that on mine and all the planting is fine. I just have one of those cheap 6000 kelvin clip on lights from hong kong.

Sounds like more than enough, i'm just running a standard 13W spiral CCFL on mine and both my chaeto and mangrove is growing wonderfully.

It's more wattage than what I've got luna. I'm having great results. I think you are fine.
