    Question about RO/DI Filter Order

RO/DI filter came in this last week. While hooking it up I noticed that the DI cartrige was hooked up backwards, with the flow going the wrong way. After disconnecting everything and incrementally flushing each piece in order (Pre-filters, RO so far), I'm ready to hook up the DI and post-filter.

After the DI being hooked up backwards, I don't trust the initial order of DI->PostFilter->Bucket. My google-fu hasn't answered it yet, so can someone confirm the flow order for me?

    Cheers:)

Yeah, I'm not sure about its purpose. The setup came in this order: Prefilters(Sed,Carbon 2x) -> RO -> DI -> Postfilter -> Out. The canister doesn't say what it is on the label, the model is IL-10W-C-EZ.

Google brought up a number of pages that list it as a carbon post filter. That doesn't make sense though as the water has already been through two carbon filters, the RO membrane and the DI resin. This page lists it as an Inline Carbon Polishing Post Filter. I am kind of thinking it could be a prefilter before the DI as to make sure chlorine stays away from the DI resin, but then again the carbon might add some things to the RO'ed water.

Alrighty then. Judging by the lack of information online and your setup, it looks like it isn't needed. One less filter to replace. ;D

    Thanks

No filter should be needed after the DI.
