Ok so question, I have a piece of LR that I decided to make a Zoas island type of thing. All of the sudden my zoas started to get a white type of sponge around them growing through them but now it looks like it is overtaking them. And I am not sure it is a sponge because I took it out the water and put it back in and the thing is still there. Then I noticed that my zoas are not doing as a great and I saw within the LR a very very thin looking thing yellow string like anemone but not really an anemone it is a like a yellow string super thin like hair algae but not hair algae i know i am rambling but its weird... its like a filamentous yellow string that spawns from within the LR i thinking it retracts when i touch it but cant really put money on it.... sorry any ideas?
water parameters are all in line...

Can you post a pic of the white stuff?

The yellow string sounds like a spaghetti worm possibly.

Sounds like sponge and a spaghetti worm.
I'm having issues with sponge on one of my zoa frags too.

this is the sponge looking thing but def not a sponge since i took it out of the water for a few mins and put it back in and it is still spreading like crazy starting to suffocate my corals
