Oooh! I got it! Ask her brother to talk to her. Have him tell her he reallllllllly wanted you to go golfing with them so you guys could have some time together!!!! Time with "her family" ;D He could add how disappointed he was when he heard you would not be going...... ;)

I went to our bridal shower at the request of my wife. I didnt make any bones about it to keep the peace. Just explain to your fiancee that many men do not go to bridal showers and you were being considerate and asking if she wanted you there and that either you dont mind going or would like to attend. This puts the ball in her court.
    Good luck, you'll need it!

Well then, you men should just say how you really feel and we wouldn't have to do such things!!!!! ;D

He obviously would rather go golfing!!! ;D

    3 things:
First, modern times more men are going to bridal showers to show thanks for all the gifts, I have gone to both of mine now from 2 marriages and I still survived.

Second, I explained to both wifes that the only thing that interupts golf is sex so unless she is giving 3 hours of sex I am going golfing! ( never golfed so much in my life LOL!) this line is a joke but may work for ya.

Third, being a twice married man let me give you the best advice you can have. When it comes to your wife you can either be right or happy...I have never been so happy in my life.

+1 on golf. You don't want to be any where near a Bridal Shower. ;)

I agree with JohnO, go golfing and have fun.

I've never heard of the groom even going to a bridal shower. It seems to me that the fiancee is somehow not connecting with the fact that she is not explaining what she wants and therby leaving you in the dark about her wishes. I have been in my present relationship for 15 years and if there is one thing we have both learned is that nobody is truly a mind reader and that both people need to communicate or there is no relationship.

A bridal shower is the last thing I would be worried about if I was the bride. Personnaly I feel that both the bridal shower (bachelorette party) and the bachelors party are more of an excuse for the friends of the bride and groom to party than to actually benefit either of the people that these parties are intended for.

    Just my opinion... ;)
