Question for all..

hey i have a friend who is trying to figure out what he needs to start up his 125 gallon.. equipment wise.. what kind of filter,how big.. what kind of skimmer,does he even need a sump?.. he is planning on swim tank only.. the tank itself is NOT drilled, and is 4'' by 2'' by 2'' so its not a long tank more of a stockier tank... (if "stockier" is even a word) ;D he isnt planning on setting this tank up anytime soon.. thus giving us more time to chat on what he may or may not need.. any advise, thoughts, of any kind will be greatly appreciated

forgot to add how much rock and sand he may need? and what size powerheads?

 

when you say "swim tank" do you mean fish only? no corals?

 

ya fish only no corals at all he wants to do a predatory tank
