Question for Lunatik

Luna... are you out there?

I recall seeing a post where you indicated that you had upgraded/replaced the internal cooling fan in your Odyssea MH light fixture... I cannot seem to locate the post.

My question is... What size & type fan did you use?

In my case, my light fixture came with (2) 2" fans. One of them was located some what in the middle of the fixture(this one was twice as big as the other one) and the second one was all the way to the left of the unit. I went to Tiger Direct(local computer shop) and bought (4) 2" fans. I place a pair of them at opposite ends, (2) blowing in and (2) blowing out. Dont bother going to Radio Shack b/c they dont carry the fans(at least mine didnt). Here's a link.....

Thanks for the speedy reply.

It sounds like you mounted/installed these new fans differently than the original stock fans were mounted. Did you mount them external to the light fixture? It sounds like you attached two on each end.

Both fans are installed internaly and at opposite ends. With the cords facing to your right(the fixture being parallel to you), the fans on the left side are able to be installed professionally. The fans to the right side(cord side) had to be rigged. Hope this helps. Luna
