Question on API Reef Master Test Kit

that's good to hear that most are accurate, i wanted the salifert but just to expensive

lol they really need to get new stocking people. At least the ebay seller isin't to blame, it's api

 

not one time have my api kits been accurate! I got the red sea and they were better. I wont go with eather one now I have been using sailfert. The api have been the worst by far not even sloct to the lfs or any test yet. I am not sold on them. I had a 0 reading for nitrate with api and 80 ppm for red sea. the lfs gave me a 80 ppm also coudl have crashed my tank thanks api for nothing!

 

wow that's a crazy difference. i guess i will wait and see. I still have a tiny bit of red sea left, maybe i will compare an expired red sea test kit to new api and see the difference

 

I think my sarcasm was not clear. I have ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, kh, ph, and calcium. When 2 out of 6 are bad, that sucks.

I am on the same page! When mine said 0 for nitrate and I had 80 ppm with nitrate. I was upset. I had 2 of 6 bad too. I just dont think one of 6 six should be bad let alone amonia, nitrate and nitrate shaould al be bad! exp since they are the mos important!

 

Yep, pretty much unacceptable. I will be replacing them and won't be buying API again.

 

calcium is 360 carbonate was 12 drops so i think ppm kh is 214.8 phosphates, 0?

 

I got goood reviews on them untill my incedident! I will never go back! I even called them and found out I was in date and still that off! I wont go there again! with 220 gallons and 15k invested I will never again go there! I wont test me 35 gallong red sea with them either! never again!
