I went and picked up some rock today that's been out of tank for roughly 6 months I've finally got some days off next week to get everything set up beginning of next week. my question is what do I need to do before using this rock It's pretty clean rock and I'm wanting to get set up over the weekend or by tuesday. I'm going to give it a good rinse and and then set structure like I want it, should I expect any problems reusing this rock?

You could soak it in bleach solution to make sure its clean and then rinse well. Search " nuke rock" and you can find all u need

Where's it from? If its from a prior set up are you sure no copper etc was used? That'd be my main concern!

I know no copper was used on it, It was took down during a move. I had thought about nuking it but it wasn't took down to to pests. I'm putting it in a new tank and was going to rinse it down good and put it in at setup and let it cycle in the tank.

    Thanks

You should be ok as long as you know nothing bad was used! Enjoy the new tank!
