question on lighting

I would do a couple of 150 de or 175 se mh on a 50 gallon tank and it was great. The only issue I really had was......well I can't think of one other than the tank being too small. I have been trying and trying to sell myself on t-5's and I just can't. I'm with the "if it's not broke don't fix it" mentality. i've been in this hobby for a few years now and have always been a metal halide guy. It has always worked well for me and I get extremely good growth and good color so I am happy with it.
