Cool, thanks starfish2217, i'm a member at 3 different sites and this site is the nicest to me so far. No attitudes, no fights breakout between people answering your quetion, no making you feel stupid when they had to start someplace too.
Just an all around thank you!!!!
If anybody wants to join up on a buddy list I'm game, since all our tanks are coming up around the same time.

It's taking mine awhile too, day 5 and my ammonia still hasn't came up at all. Rotten meat will make a person sick in a couple hrs, guess tanks are more forgiving.

Yep 1 for 72 hrs, the small pieces that rotted off went into my filter sock where they still remain.

Nah, people cycle there tank with LR only, the die off of the rock will start the cycle. I just wanted to make sure incase I didn't have any die off since the lfs is only 15 minuites away and the rock was in water on the way home. You have a way to start the ammonia with the fish and that's all it takes, food turns to waste and waste turns to ammonia when there's not enough benificial bateria to keep up with the waste. As the bacteria grows and can over come the ammonia thats when it turns to nitites, then to nitrates which is the last step in cycling a tank.

haha I know I just don't think the fish are doing much but im leaving them in there for about two- three weeks, I just reallly need the bio cube out of my room I literally have no room so I want it to hurrrryyy but iim not gonna rush it and kill anything. that would just be sad.

Are you using LR and sand? If so how much? Have you seen any die off of the rock if your using it? What size bio-cube?
