    I have my lights mounted on pulleys so they can be raised easily. Also, consider the dread possibility of a broken bulb. You don't want broken glass or chemicals in the water. Use some kind of shield. Mine is a slide in glass under the bulbs.

    Bulk Reef Supply sells 1/4 inch clear netting that wont block lighting and prevent fish from jumping. Its on my thread #214 and #215. If a fish gets through that then you better name it Whodini.
