Question on Yellow Belly Regal Blue Tang

    what about a tomini tang? aren't those guys small enough?

    they're supposed to be one of the smaller tangs. i know i've seen them at a local fish store (HB Seaside Aquarium) for much cheaper than LiveAquaria. The place is only about a 10 minute drive from where you're from.

    Yeah... the tangs definitely need a lot of swimming room ... I have 2 now.. a yellow and a blue hippo tang and both are very active swimmers that I even feel that my 110g is not big enough... so think twice unless you plan on gettin a bigger tank soon. Just my opinion because I always think about providing the best possible environment for the fish... I wanted some others ones but after all we are all here to provide and keep an adequate biotope for our "friends', i.e. let's not be selfish and just get what we think is pretty but research their requirements first.

    Tracy, I'm not sure what you read, but the yellow belly regal tang gets to a foot, if not more. Sorry :(

    Edit: I see Horkn already told you that. I was bad and just went to reply before reading all the posts! ;)

    :lol: i think its funny how really old threads get brought back up then become active again. haha yea tank is currently maxed out on fish lol deffiently dont have room for a tang, or any other fish :D
