    yeah it is fine as long as you have enough flow to spead throughout the tank fast thats the whole purpose . or you can say you add 2 cap fulls add one and give it five mines and add the other that will work fine.

    I was dose my tank by adding the supplements in the sump first. That way it gets dispersed before it reaches the DT. Don't worry about whatever equipment you have in your sump. If anything they help the situation...
